Many people have a health kick focus getting ready for the summer, but what happens when summer is here? Healthy Quick Picks for meals and snacks:
1. Greek Yogurt Parfait with Fresh Seasonal Fruit: Layer protein-rich Greek Yogurt with fresh seasonal berries for a refreshing snack.
2. Grilled Fruit Kebob: Skewer pieces/chunks of fruit like pineapple, peaches, pears and grapes as a snack or to start your BBQ’ing season right!
3. Fresh Fruit Smoothie: Choose fresh seasonal fruit and combine with water and ice, or add greek yogurt for a boost. A poolside refresher.
4. Homemade Fruit Pops: Left-over smoothie? Pour into an ice-tray and either use a popsicle stick or half a straw and freeze for your own healthy pops!
5. Grilled Pita Pizzas: A healthier and fun twist. Top a whole-wheat pita with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and seasonal vegetables. Throw on the grill for a few minutes for your own personal sized pizza.
