“Keeping it real and setting goals.” This is what came to mind today, when I set forth to write this entry. I was enjoying dinner with a few other entrepreneurial minded women last night that I am fortunate to call my friends. There were four of us at the table, each running our own businesses, with some cross over but ultimately in different industries and fields. It was fascinating to discuss each of our experiences, perspectives, challenges and successes.
A common thread, though, was passion. Our careers, life and health journeys are continuous, ever-changing and forever growing. What keeps us going, though, is the passion and enjoyment of what we do and how we go about it. What I mean by “Keeping it real” is to check in with what we feel intuitively, connect with our passion, have a vision, set goals and take consistent action. So whether you are reading this and thinking about your professional goals, personal goals, spiritual goals or health and fitness goals take some time for yourself and ask –
-WHAT IS MY STORY?
-WHAT IS MY WHY?
-WHAT ARE MY SHORT TERM GOALS?
-WHAT ARE MY LONG TERM GOALS?
-WHAT STEPS DO I NEED TO GET THERE?
-WHO ARE PEOPLE I CAN ENGAGE AND LEARN FROM?
-HOW CAN I HAVE THE MOST FUN WHILE DOING THIS?
“Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.” Tom Landry ~ I will add to that by saying to remember to continue to re-evaluate, make new goals and be ready for new plans as you keep achieving and growing!
