I love user-friendly, informative and fun educational guides! The Environmental Working Group (EWG) is a non-profit American environmental organization that utilizes scientists, engineers, policy experts, and computer programmers to specialize in research and advocacy in the areas of toxic chemicals, agricultural subsidies, public lands, and corporate accountability. Their mission is to use the power of public information to protect public health and the environment, with a focus on protecting kids from toxic chemicals in food, water, air and every day products. As a result of that, they have developed many helpful handouts and guides to support healthy living. Below are two of my favorite, “Good Food on a Tight Budget” and “The Dirty Dozen”- click on the link to download the PDF!
GOOD FOOD ON A TIGHT BUDGET: This guide includes tips on planning in advance, setting up a budget, great food and snack choices, as well as recipes and tools!
THE DIRTY DOZEN AND CLEAN 15: Trying to decide when it’s best to go organic or safest not to? A wallet sized guide can be printed out!
