Nutrition is more then just food. A healthy lifestyle is more then just being fit. When it comes to balancing life, work, play and health there are many components that influence your actual being. When working with clients on their specific nutrition and health goals, many of which are weight loss, I try to educate and incorporate the many different aspects which can help them succeed. This includes (but is not limited to) getting back in touch with the nutritional value of food as fuel, intuitive eating, recognizing triggers of mindless eating, and most recently, taking a look at the spiritual lessons that can be uncovered. After all, a DIET has a beginning and an end. What we want is a lifestyle change that helps one to successfully reach their health goals and have the tools to continually lead this type of lifestyle.
Of course, every client is different. A focus for one client, may be completely different than another. But none the less, perhaps this is one that may be of importance to you?
Marianne Williamson is a #1 New York Times best-selling author. I recently had the pleasure of listening to one of her lectures and seeing her in action. She has a book called, “A Course in Weight Loss. 21 Spiritual Lessons for Surrendering Your Weight Forever.” This is one component of understanding what may be an influencing factor in your journey for health and well-being. Some people may identify with this book and approach, while it doesn’t stand out to others. Either way is okay – but you never know unless you look!
