Everybody has a Story!
I have always had a passion for nutrition and performance.
I thought it was incredible that the food we ate and the amount we drank was a science, not only in health and disease, but also in sport! Early on I knew I wanted to share this passion with people and help them feel and perform their best, too, both in sport and in life.
Nourish. Hydrate. Rejuvenate.
However, it was about 10 years ago, that my health took a major hit and I was sick for over 6 months straight! I went the traditional route and through all of the conventional testing, I was told this was normal and that I was healthy and fine. This couldn’t be, I only got sick one time a year in the past! Now I was sick, I was tired, I couldn’t focus, I couldn’t last a day without a nap, and I never was able to feel like myself.
Much like many challenges in life, on the other side of that challenging time, I was so thankful for the experience! Through this, I studied and learned more about functional nutrition and the additional tools that existed to help people learn more about their whole bodies, health, individual blueprint and their immunity! This was how I became well again, even better than before, and elevated my practice to ensure that each client I worked with was heard, looked at as an individual and began to combine the best of elements in nutritional counseling, functional nutrition, performance nutrition and complementary practices.
It's about you!
It is so exciting to hear my clients say that the experience of working together, learning more about themselves and their health, overcoming challenges and enhancing their lifestyle, has changed their lives for the better, leaving them feeling better then ever!
This is what I want for YOU.

... An Interview with Meg Mangano
What made you want to become a dietitian nutritionist?
At an early age I knew that what I put into my body would effect how well I could play and how I would feel. I thought it was pretty incredible that our very own health and athletic performance was a science and was influenced by what we ate and drank. From there, I knew I wanted to be able to help other people feel and perform their best, too.
What are the Benefits of working with a Sports Dietitian?
As an integrative part of the performance team for an athlete, a sports dietitian brings the aspect of nutrition to the athlete’s training, performance and recovery. I provide support and individualized plans to help each athlete reach optimal performance and recovery. With a proper performance fueling and hydration plan in place, an athlete experiences improvement in immunity, energy level, sleep, as well as decreased muscle soreness, decreased injury potential, and an increase in career longevity
When did you realize you wanted to become a sports dietitian for a professional sports team?
I always knew I wanted to be a sports dietitian for athletes at any level. Throughout my career I have worked with individual athletes and a variety of teams. Each level, individual and team has been fun, exciting, challenging and rewarding. I have always played team sports, played NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of New Hampshire and always loved being part of a team. This naturally lead me to working professionally with teams! Not only with the team of athletes, but also the medical team, coaching team and support team around the athletes.
What habits helped to make you successful?
A lot of the habits that have helped me to be successful are those that I learned through sport. These include setting goals, being both a team player and a leader, determining the steps I would need to take to get to my goals, taking action, re-evaluating along the way, continued growth and expressing gratitude!
